KinesioTape Technique
KinesioTape is a therapeutic procedure invented by a Japanese chiropractor to help patients hold their adjustments better. It is used extensively by Japanese Olympic Athletes, and in 1999, caught the attention of several American Olympic athletes and doctors. Lance Armstrong gave credibility to KinesioTape as a method of pain relief and performance enhancement in second book, "Every Second Counts."
KinesioTape:
- Reduces pain by causing the body to release endorphins and encephalons (the body's natural pain relievers).
- Helps hold adjustments by gently supporting adjusted areas.
- Reduces swelling by improving lymphatic flow.
- Reduces muscle spasms by reducing muscle fatigue and over contraction.
If you’ve been to a chiropractor before and prefer to be adjusted in a particular way, let us know. We want you to relax, enjoy and fully benefit from your chiropractic care.
